We built the Five Ten Trailcross LT women’s mountain bike shoes for riders who want proven flat pedal performance without the weight penalty. The Trailcross LT strikes the balance between our DH-grade Freerider sole and the hike-friendly design riders need for mixed terrain rides.
The Five Ten Trailcross LT women’s shoes carry the same Stealth® S1 Dotty compound we originally engineered for our gravity lineup. This isn’t a watered-down version — you get the full sticky rubber formula that’s been proven on World Cup downhill courses, now optimized for the mixed demands of trail and enduro riding.
Lightweight construction for pedaling efficiency
Traditional flat pedal shoes prioritize protection over weight, but we engineered the Trailcross LT specifically for riders who climb as much as they descend. At approximately 340 grams per shoe in a women’s size 7, these shoes shed nearly 80 grams compared to our Freerider Pro without compromising the grip or durability you need.
The breathable ripstop upper uses strategically placed synthetic overlays only where abrasion protection matters most — the toe box, heel counter, and high-wear zones along the medial side. This targeted reinforcement approach keeps the shoe light while still standing up to pedal pin strikes and trail debris.
Fit and sizing for women riders
We built the Trailcross LT on a women-specific last that accounts for the narrower heel and higher arch common in women’s feet. The regular fit provides room in the toe box for natural splay during pedaling efforts while keeping your heel locked in place through the shoe’s internal heel counter.
The speed-lacing system uses flat laces that resist loosening better than round alternatives, and the integrated lace keeper tucks excess lace away to prevent snags on brush or pedal pins. If you typically wear a half size, we recommend sizing up — the shoe runs true to size but sizing up gives you room for thicker socks on cold-weather rides.

The Trailcross LT runs true to size on the women-specific last. While we designed the Trailcross LT specifically for trail and enduro riding, many riders use them as their everyday mountain bike shoe. The Stealth® rubber works equally well on pedals at the bike park, on technical singletrack, or during casual cruises around town. The lightweight construction makes them comfortable for all-day wear beyond just dedicated ride sessions.
Both shoes use Five Ten Stealth® rubber, but the Trailcross LT uses the S1 Dotty compound versus the Freerider’s Phantom compound. The S1 Dotty provides slightly firmer grip that balances pedal traction with walkability, making it better suited for rides requiring foot-off moments. The Freerider’s Phantom compound is stickier but optimized purely for pedal contact rather than mixed use.
The standard Trailcross LT uses a breathable ripstop upper that is not waterproof. The material sheds light moisture and dries quickly after stream crossings, but it’s not designed to keep your feet dry in sustained rain. For waterproof protection, the Trailcross XT women’s version includes a Gore-Tex membrane while maintaining the same sole and fit characteristics.
The Stealth® S1 Dotty outsole is compatible with all standard flat pedal designs, including popular brands like Race Face, Deity, OneUp, Crankbrothers, and Shimano. The micro-dot tread pattern creates consistent contact across different pin configurations and pedal sizes. The sole width matches standard flat pedal dimensions for optimal pin engagement across the entire platform.
Sole longevity depends on riding frequency and terrain, but most riders get 300 to 500 hours of riding before noticing significant wear. Rocky terrain accelerates wear compared to dirt trails, and riders who frequently reposition their feet on pedals will see faster degradation in high-contact zones. The Dotty pattern wears evenly rather than showing isolated flat spots, and grip remains consistent until the tread depth becomes minimal.
The die-cut EVA sockliner is fully removable and replaceable with aftermarket insoles or custom orthotics. The shoe’s internal volume accommodates standard orthotic thickness without requiring additional sizing adjustments. The speed-lacing system allows you to adjust midfoot tension to account for any volume changes when swapping insoles.
